Growing & Diversifying Revenue

Kelley NPC proudly provides capacity building support to The Ford Family Foundation’s “Rural Community Builder” organizations who care deeply about their rural communities and work together to make them better. While this document was developed for rural community builders and is tailored specifically to small, place-based nonprofits, it is for anyone, and includes a variety of resources for organizations of all types. In “Growing and Diversifying Revenue,” Kelley NPC shares actionable tips and ideas for how organizations can set themselves up for success – and help their rural communities thrive!

Working Toward the Greatest Good

Kelley NPC works at the intersection of philanthropy and direct service nonprofits – we serve as an amplifier and multiplier in our collaborative work toward the greatest good. In addition to supporting the Rural Community Builder Network, we are involved in several other initiatives that build capacity, improve coordination, and increase funding in rural communities, including serving as fund manager and liaison for:

●     Federal Readiness and Leverage Fund: Reducing barriers to federal funds, increasing capacity in Oregon’s rural and underserved communities, and strengthening avenues for collaboration across public, philanthropic, and nonprofit sectors.

●     Oregon Disaster Funders Network: Leveraging philanthropy’s ability to reduce the negative impact of disasters on underserved and disinvested communities; collaboratively supporting communities through all aspects of the disaster lifecycle.

●     Maui Recovery Funders Collaborative: Supporting Recovery, Rebuilding and Community Wellbeing in response to the 2023 Maui wildfires – a philanthropic network designed to leverage and coordinate funding.

Kelley NPC provides direct support and technical assistance to a broad spectrum of clients, working hand in hand with organizations and communities across the Pacific West.
